Illinois Heartland decorative Artists Scholarship

$1000 for the student and $250 of art supplies for the student’s high school art department

Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois

The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Program is now recruiting high school seniors to apply for our teacher preparation program. Scholars are provided with extensive teaching experience and advanced preparation to supplement their college curriculum, academic support throughout college, college tuition-assistance and support (up to $23,000), and mentoring during their first years of teaching. In return, Scholars commit to teach in Illinois schools-of-need for five years after college graduation from an Illinois partner university.

Joyce Betz Memorial Scholarship:

TEACH Outdoors, Inc. is awarding an educational scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of $1000.00. The scholarship will be awarded directly to a student who is furthering his or her education by attending college, a university or trade school. All applicants received will be considered for this award. TEACH Outdoors Executive Board Members, the immediate families of board members and immediate family members of Joyce Betz are not eligible for the scholarship.

1. Applicants must complete, sign and date the 2 page Scholarship Application. 2. Applicants must submit an essay (being 1-2 pages typed) describing what being a mentor means to the applicant and how they will continue to mentor others throughout their life. 3. Applicant must reside in and be enrolled in a high school located in Illinois. Home school applicants are also welcome. 4. Applicant must be enrolled in or applying for enrollment as a full time student in an accredited college, university or trade school. In the 2019-2020 School year, applicant must be a Freshman or Sophomore in college or trade school. 5. Applicant must have a minimum of 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0 GPA and provide proof of GPA. Documentation provided must have the applicants name on it. 6. Applicant must be an Illinois 4-H Participant. 7. Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation. 8. Scholarship winner must attend TEACH Outdoors Annual Banquet to be awarded with the scholarship. The banquet will be February 23, 2019 at Jennifer’s Garden Banquet and Convention Center in Morris, IL.

Elks Legacy Awards:

$4000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members.


For the 2019 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2016, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2016, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2019. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.

The applicant must be a high school senior.

The applicant must apply online only. The 2019 Legacy Awards application deadline is 11:59 a.m. Central Time on Friday, February 1, 2019.

If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.

Applicants must take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT) by December 31, 2018.

Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student qualifies for more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.

Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Guam, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

If you are selected as a 2019 Legacy Awards recipient, you will be required to perform service once a year with an Elks Lodge during the four years you are receiving the scholarship. Click here for more information about serving with the Elks.

A $1,000 Scholarship For Lovers Of Final Fantasy Games

The Final Fantasy Fan Scholarship is a highly competitive award for high school and college students who enjoy the Final Fantasy game franchise. You have invested many hours in the world of Final Fantasy, and now you have the opportunity for Final Fantasy to invest in your world!

Students applying must submit a brief essay explaining their relationship with Final Fantasy games and how it has made them a better student. In 5 paragraphs or less, you should share whatever you think will help us understand your appreciation for Final Fantasy games and how it has made you a better student or person overall.
