How to Apply


Academic Foundation Scholarships

Mort Imlay: lettered in athletics, 3.0 GPA and Financial need

Jackson Wapner: above average academic performance and participation in extra-curricular activities for at least three years

Leo V. Meadows: Awarded to one male and one female with excellent academic and extra-curricular performance

Class of 1979: 2.5 GPA or higher and demonstrates financial need and involement in extra-curricular activities

Vincennes University Mathematics Education Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship Opportunity

Must plan to enroll at VU and major in the math education bachelor’s program

Eastern Illinois Sportsmen Club Scholarship

For any student planning to attend college next year.

Must have at least a 2.5 GPA and a passion for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and/or conservation

Scholarship application is in the Guidance Office in the hanging blue file

Application must be received by March 15, 2019

Sheriff William Rutan will be awarding 1 $500 scholarship.

Scholarship must be used for Illinois colleges only.

Student must be enrolled full time when he/she attends college

McCord University of Evansville Scholarship

You must plan to enroll at a NATIONALLY RANKED PROGRAM OR UNIVERSITY starting Fall 2019. The scholarship committee uses the U.S. News and World Report’s Rankings as their guideline.

The content you submit in your application must be unique and must offer value to the reader. Creative, high-quality submissions have a higher chance of winning.

To participate in the scholarship, please create a unique content piece in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 words covering the subject of what it means to live a healthy lifstyle in 2019. We’d like to see the following discussions included:

  • Trends in nutrition (intermittent fasting, carb backloading, paleo, IIFYM, etc)

  • Trends in workout/fitness methods

  • How tech (like mobile devices) has affected the idea of a healthy lifestyle

  • Your own ideas are also welcome.

We will review all submissions and choose the best content piece. The winner will receive the $1,000 scholarship reward which is intended to be used for educational purposes.
