Food Service During Closure

Thank you to all who are utilizing our Food Distribution Program. We are happy that so many of you are participating. I wanted to make you aware of the Food Distribution/Delivery schedule for the next few days. Tomorrow, Thursday April 9 we will distribute the meals for Thursday, Friday, and Monday all at once. Pick up and delivery will not be available on Friday or Monday. This is due to our scheduled Easter Break and will give our food service staff some much deserved time off. We will resume our normal daily schedule again on Tuesday, April 14. by picking up at Robinson High School or Flat Rock Community Center or by delivery to your home.

We have made a few adjustments to our meal distribution plan starting on Tuesday, March 24. These changes will help us to operate more efficiently, comply with new guidance from State and local officials, and prepare for possible scaling up if needed. Meals will continue to be available for pick up tomorrow at two sites within Robinson CUSD #2: Robinson High School and Flat Rock Community Center. These meals are provided free of charge to any Robinson
CUSD #2 student and anyone in the household 18 years of age or younger. Starting on Tuesday. March 24 we will distribute both Breakfast and Lunch from each site from 9:30-11:30 AM to save families from making two trips. If you have no means of getting to one of the two distribution points, you may call (618) 804-9971 to request delivery. We understand that the change in hours and the elimination of one of the pick-up points may pose a challenge to some families who were previously picking up meals, We do not want these changes to prevent anyone from receiving meals so please do not hesitate to call the food line at (618) 804-9971 if you need delivery.
For those who have requested delivery service we will make every effort to make the delivery between the hours of 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM starting Tuesday, March 24. In accordance with new guidelines from the Health Department to minimize person-to-person contact, we will knock or ring your bell and then leave the food at the door.
Here are directions for pick up at each site:
Robinson High School
- Car Pick-up: Enter from Highland Avenue to the road through the football parking lot around the north end of the track and west toward NMS. The pick up point will be along the road directly north of the loading docks at the northwest corner of the building.
Flat Rock Community Center
- Car Pick-up: Enter from West 2nd Street, turn on to Central Avenue through parking lot to pick up point and exit the north end of parking lot back to Central Avenue and then north to 1st Street
