The following action was taken at Monday night’s school board meeting:

• Consideration and approval of the updated student handbook for LGS for the 26-27 school year
• Consideration and approval of the updated student handbook for RHS for the 26-27 school year
• Consideration and approval of the updated student handbook for WES for the 26-27 school year
• Consideration and approval of the updated RHS Athletics handbook for the 26-27 school year
• Consideration to approve a resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools for the County of Crawford, Illinois to certify to the County Clerk of said County the question of imposing a retailers' occupation tax and a service occupation tax at a rate of 1% to provide revenue to be used exclusively for school facility purposes, school resource officers, and mental health professionals, for submission to the electors of said County at the general election to be held on the 3rd day of November, 2026
• Consideration and approval of social studies and science curriculum purchase for LGS
• Discussion of district’s investment outlook and performance with Vezzetti Capital Management
• Discussion regarding the tentative initial FY27 budget and recap of FY26 financials
• Consideration and approval of the district’s application for participation in the ISBE FY27 Technology Loan Program (9-12 grades)
• Consideration and approval of a project services agreement with Farnsworth Group to complete an updated 10-Year HLS Survey
• Consideration and approval to give Superintendent authorization to fill necessary positions that might become available between July 20 and August 19, 2026
• Consideration and approval to appoint Andrew Corn to fill the vacancy on the Board of Education
• Consideration and approval of employment contract for Superintendent through June 30, 2030

• Shiloh Bonnell – NMS Physical Education Teacher (end of 27-28 school year)

The next regular school board meeting will be Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. at Central Office.
