403b Plan Match for Employees
WHEREAS, Robinson CUSD#2 of Robinson, Illinois wishes to provide an additional benefit to its employees; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education and the Community Unit Two Education Association, have negotiated an agreement to match a $50 monthly contribution to the represented employee’s 403b plan or TRS SSP plan; and
WHEREAS, the agreement between the Community Unit Two Education Association has been incorporated as a part of the collective bargaining agreement taking effect on August 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the language in the collective bargaining agreement reads as follows: “The BOE will match a fifty (50) dollar monthly deposit into either the local 403B plan or TRS SSP (when SSP becomes active). The employee may contribute up to the maximum allowed byfederal regulations. Teachers may not first request initiating the 550 BOE match within 5 years of their anticipated date of retirement.”; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Robinson CUSD#2 wishes to provide the same opportunity to receive this benefit to employees who are not represented by the Community Unit Two Education Association,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Robinson CUSD#2 Board of Education, that with regard to employees who are not represented by the Community Unit Two Education Association, the Board of Education will match a fifty (50) dollar monthly deposit into either the local 403b plan or TRS SSP (when SSP becomes active). The employee may contribute up to the maximum allowed by federal regulations. Employees may not first request initiating the $50 BOE match within 5 years of their anticipated date of retirement. This benefit will first be available with the September 10, 2021 payroll.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Education of Robinson CUSD#2, Robinson, Illinois on this date, July 19, 2021, at a regular meeting by the following vote:
